For the final hunt of the year we headed south to chase scaled quail, and “chase” was an understatement… Scaled quail are notorious for running and running and running and they lived up to their reputation. We found plenty of birds and had a great time, though it took the dogs a day to figure out how to get them pointed. The dogs had plenty of bird contacts and we harvested our fair share. It was a great time and can’t wait to get back down there!

There’s nothing better than a day out with great dogs and great friends chasing wild birds.
I agree! Its hard to beat.
Great video story! I’m with you on chasin’ scaled quail. We have a small huntable population here in Southwest Kansas mostly in the Cimarron National Grasslands. They are my favorite bird to hunt. Really looking forward to following the Upland Obsession journey. Any way I can help, let me know. Looks like we the same tastes in upland technical packs…the Bean.
